A girl, her best friend, and middle school. Sounds almost perfect, right? Wrong. For Elise, nothing has seemed right since school started. She manages to make an enemy within her first day of school, and manages to lose her only friend within the first month. But everything changes when around her 12th birthday she finds a key with her name on it, and they keep on showing up in the weirdest places. They help her unlock secrets from her family’s past, and also help her unlock the meaning of life. I think this book is really well written and attaching, because it has gotten me to finish it within 2 days so it I think it deserves 5 stars. I would recommend this book to people who like books about mystery, adventure, and/or friendship.
